About Tenby Tennis ClubTenby Tennis Club started in 2009. We are based at Greenhill School, Tenby and have an excellent relationship with the school and staff there, with many pupils from Greenhill attending the club. We are affiliated to and supported by Tennis Wales. We are a small friendly club with just two coaches Iân Morris and Alison Lewis and we welcome children from 4 years up to 18 years old. Our aim at Tenby Tennis is to give players a love of tennis and an ability to play well. We consider tennis a life skill! The club runs after school all year round; during the summer and autumn we are on the hard courts at Greenhill School and in the winter and early spring we transfer to the school gymnasiums.
We hold Easter and Summer camps during the holidays, and have regular internal tournaments for the children to practise their new-found skills in a competitive setting. |
Easter and Summer CampsWe hold Easter and Summer Camps for our regular children as well as visitors to the area.
This usually consists of a combination of coaching and tennis games and is always great fun for everyone. "The coaches make tennis great fun and are very fair." "I would definitely recommend Tenby Tennis Club to anyone because the coaches are great!" The sun always shines in Tenby... but when it doesn't we have use of the school gyms.

Competitions
Here at Tenby Tennis Club we constantly challenge and reward our players with tasks and competitions - we believe that it's important to put the various skills learnt to the test right from the start. It may be a challenge to achieve a rally of 10 or compete in a mini tournament against their peers, each is a progression for the players involved and is suitably rewarded. We have also been involved in tournaments across the county in every age group and are very proud of how well our players have performed.

Sport Relief
Player of the Year
Each year Tenby Tennis Club awards a trophy for our Club Player of the Year. The trophy was kindly donated by Robert Mayhew in memory of his mother who worked at Greenhill School and was a great tennis fan. Amongst the qualities required of the recipient are loyalty, commitment, enthusiasm, improvement and a team player. Every year it is a very difficult choice with several candidates to choose from and takes much discussion amongst the coaches. We have had several worthy winners over the years.
